About John
Age: 25
Career: In 2010, I graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelors degree in Economics. I then found a job at Fortis Net Lease as an advisor in investment real estate services and while I enjoyed my work there, I hoped to expand my areas of experience. In early 2012 I switched gears and worked for Ryan as a property tax consultant. Most recently, I accepted a job at Plante Moran as a consulting associate. My focus is investment real estate advisory as well as financial analysis.
Favorite Things: Detroit sports, architecture and whiskey.
Favorite Memory with Laura: Over our time together, there have been so many wonderful memories with Laura, from the trip to Chicago for our two-year anniversary to the camping trip we took in the summer of 2011. However, my favorite was the trip to Chicago we took with my family the weekend after we got engaged. The opportunity to spend some time with Laura and my family celebrating our engagement in my favorite city is truly an unforgettable experience.

Favorite Memory with John: Our romantic Chicago weekend in the Summer of 2011! He planned the entire getaway himself! Amazing eats, sights, and fireworks... It was so much fun to explore the city with him knowing that he thoughtfully put all the elements together! :)

How We Met
John may hate to admit it, but it was Michigan State that brought us together! One of his fraternity brothers was friends with my roommate Lauren(a bridesmaid!). We had a fun time together, but it wasn't until second semester that things started to pick up. I was smitten and wasn't shy in letting John know how I felt!! We talked on the phone all the time, made plenty of visits to both U of M and MSU, and went on numerous dates. Finally, in June, we decided to make it official. A few short months later, parents were met, "I love you's" were exchanged, and we visited each other often. Now, both in Royal Oak, our relationship continues to grow each day. Although, with our strong school rivalry, this past college football season definitely proved more difficult than before! There was a constant struggle over who's game we should watch! Nonetheless, it has been such a wonderful journey and we are excited for the years to come!!
